But it would be spot on.

The best way to watch it would be to know nothing about it so I would avoid any reviews as they do sometimes tend to give away to much.

A warning though, this is a film which requires your attention 100% of the time. After seeing it you might be able to work some things out plot wise, but this is a film which involves the viewer and allows you to have your own interpretation of some of the things that initially cannot be explained.

You can buy the R1 cheap here

    http://www.movietyme.com/catalog/ad...57&inc_subcat=1&keywords=darko&categories_id=

Or rent it first if your not to sure. Either way if you like thought provoking films this is highly recommended.

It's a kind of love it or hate it movie.

You'll either think it's a masterpiece or a hunk of pretentious, deliberately confusing nonsense with a story that can't be fathomed without the aid of the website, deleted scenes and directors commentary.

I'm quite fond of it myself:) but I can see all the reasons why people don't like it

Its amazing how many people see or saw different things watching Donnie Darko.

I am prepared to admit I saw a film about selflessness, suicide and no-conformity in a 'material' world but other people saw other things.

I do think that it is over-rated and I think a lot of reviewers have fallen into the trap of labelling it 'cult' because everybody else has.

    Although the soundtrack is fantastic....:smashin:

    Rant over,

    CB

Too right Captain, i like it, but I think it suffers because so many people have gone completely OTT about it. It ain't that good.

    The Graduate.

This film preceeds Donnie Darko, Fight Club et al in being the definative 'mens' film.

It is though provoking, angst ridden, superbly acted and has direction and camera work to die for and its directed by a genius Englishman to boot.

Watch the graduate on DVD and witness a film 20 - 30 years ahead of its time.

    Its that simple.

    CB.
