So it's praise, praise, praise, kudos, kudos, praise and praise and.... 8/10. Jeez, Cas, were there biscuit crumbs in the bed again or what?

Thank you for review. I believe this movie is a 10 as it has something really special.
The dialogue and the story are very mature and deeper than expected
My son loved it but I also realised how it portrayed batman and others very complex relationship
In my humble opinion, for this reason alone, this Lego movie is special and for that deserves more than an 8 :)

I look forward to this one. The lego movie while ok was way too long for an animated movie plus the batman scenes were the best bits.

Saw this at the weekend, great film and it tops The Lego Movie. Arnett's may just be best Batman ever.

My 6yo asked me last week to bring him to this. I wasn't really that interested but maybe I'll bring him after this review. I mean I really liked the Lego movie and people are saying this is better?

AGREE WITH THIS TOTALLY! There were enough references to the actual Batman and 'other things' to entertain me but no-where near as entertaining as the first lego movie. Was disappointed.
The kid sat next to me even fell asleep :O

I didn't really enjoy it, lacks the charm of The Lego Movie. I think I would have preferred it as a wisecracking but more conventional Batman movie.

Personally I think the underlying relationship theme was corny and overdone but everyone has different tastes

Never really liked the lego movie, but I LOVED this!
My cheeks were hurting (steady on now) from smiling so hard all the way through.
Arnett is brilliant as Bats & Cera was so good as Robin, tonnes of great character cameos and in jokes it's a wonder any kids even got any of the jokes...I suppose it helps that it's more colourful and sugary than a bag of haribos.
Great fun had here by a fully functioning adult

I loved the Lego Movie and I loved this - both are great imo. I really enjoyed it and thought it was pretty funny - needs repeat viewing to appreciate the amount of stuff going on - review here pretty spot on for me.

Kept young and old entertained, not quite up there with the excellent Lego Movie in my humble. Terrific score throughout (I'm ignoring the songs!). Almost too much to take in visually and this in 2d!

I wont spoil it but thought the references tapas to which groups batman could team up with particularly funny.

Much much better than some othe full on a Batman films of the past.

(Having said all that I really enjoyed Batman Forever so maybe my critical functions are a bit off!)

Honestly, I felt the film tried a little too hard to be funny as much as possible. The original lego film has a nice balance. Don't get me wrong, the film was funny. I just felt that at times, I was prodded and told to laugh ( or maybe the was my girlfriend).

I was a little gutted that the A.B.R. was cut out from the UK version:

Took my 4 yo son to see this and he loved it.
Then got the Original Lego Movie and watched it in daddys cinema and he wasnt sure if he liked it - so high praise from the 4yo for the Batman Lego movie - not so much for daddys cinema lol

I thought this was quite a bit better than the original - it gets going much quicker so pulls you into it much easier - no need to try and explain a story in this one I suppose - the story develops itself / much better following a fast paced start

I wasnt really expecting much but come the end I thought to myself I enjoyed that for what it was. Had some really clever bits in and clever use of visuals.

Will be a UHD purhase for sure

Are you sure it's in ANY version as it would have obviously changed the end of his little rap, which itself was funny. Sure it's not just an alternate gag used in just the trailer?
