    Had a thought the other day. Calibration discs are good but at the end of the day it does come down to personal preference. What I would like to see is a test DVD that had sequences from films that we use to show off our equipment. I thought of scenes like;

    Monsters Inc - The scene in door storage area.
    The Matrix - The Lobby Scene
    Apollo 13 - Lift off scene
    Gladiator - Opening battle sequence
    LOTR - Troll Battle

    It would be really nice if these were compiled for different reasons (colour saturation, DTS sound, bass etc) and stuck on the front of a magazine (hint, hint).

    What do you think and what sequences would you like to see on the disc?

    Matrix is a terrible choice for video as the film was purposely filmed with a green tint.

    From all my 200 or so DVDs I think Blade II has the best picture quality, all those dark scenes but no problems at all.

    Get a macrovision disabler and a DVD recorder and you can put all those scenes on 1 disc............albeit with only 2 channel sound.
