looking to add an extra lens to my D50 +18-55 kit lens. Most of my shots would seem to indicate a leaning to a wide angle rather than a 200 or 300. But I could be wrong!
I'd be looking to go 2nd hand to keep the costs down and to lessen the pain if I get the choice wrong.
Anyone able recommend a good'un?

How often do you want to go wider than 18mm? My inital thought is that buying, say, a 12-24 gives you nothing over 55mm, which is still pretty short even on a 1.5x crop.

Hmm, you're right with the 55mm and over. Perhaps i can't see the wood for the trees.
    The choices are quite bewildering!

I had even considered the 70-210 Af nikon second hand!

So if presumably if the longer lens gets more use, but the financial constraints still apply...(which rules out a VR!)

Anyone able to suggest a good'un:D
