    Guys,

I have read that car bodyfiller is best to use when filling in screw holes on MDF.
Now, i need to seal the MDf so do i seal and then use the filler or the other way around?

with regards to the gaps between the MDF sheets, do I just cover it with filler and sand away the excess or do i need to create a ridge so that the filler has something to hold onto?

    thanks

Hi. Get some powder filler from B&Q.
Polycell Multipurpose Polyfilla Grey 900g, 5010567011215
Fill it once. Just don't fill it proud. Wait for it to dry. Sand with 120 grade sand paper. Seal it with paint.
Second fill, sand and it's ready for painting.
You can use two part filler. Ronseal High Performance Wood Filler White 275g, 5010214825752
This is very though stuff, so if You use it make sure You remove any excess. It's very difficult to sand.
Don't bother with car body filler, I'm a decorator and never had to fill MDF with this.
As for gaps between boards, just fill them but make sure that boards are well screwed together so there is no movement.
    I hope this helps
