Files and settings transfer wizard

Hi everyone,

I am just wondering that if you use the "files settings and transfer wizard" of XP, and storing to a dvd. Would this then allow you to do a reinstall of PC, and then restore various files. I am thinking mainly my inbox/address book of microsoft outlook, and various photos etc. I am sure there is more, although I can't think of it. I know that you can import/export address etc from this program, but it does sound ideal to "backup" all.

Or have i got this program wrong?

Doesn't work with Outlook IIRC.

Hi,

Many thanks for the replies. All very useful, however I was thinking more on all settings of PC and not just email.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. My PC is grinding down, due to internet/programs etc being loaded.
