So far i have fellowship and two towers ce's with the resin figures, but i have kept them sealed in the box, only removing the DVD case.

has anyone else done this or have you removed the figurines from the box.

also if kept in the box, do you think that there value will increase as colelctors items. Further to that, were the figurine sets limited editions?

    thanks

I've kept mine in the box too. I did try to take the Gollum figure out of the case but couldn't work out how to do it without destroying the foam packaging.

I've kept mine in the packaging too. I foolishly kept the DVD 'Books' with all my others and my 17mnth son has found them and decided they would make great frizzbies!

Has there been any word on the final box set with figures or do you think they aren't going to bother this time? I'm itching to get the last film but I want to complete the set.

    I've just been dull.

I'f I'd read the other threads I wouldn't have need to ask the above question. (duh!)

i think Minas Tirith will look naff as a figurine. The two standing figures and golum were ok as one was a landmark and the other an individual figure, however to have an entire city as a figurine.

I think Sauron would have been a good figure, or Shelob

I don't see these being collectors items for a very long time. The problem is the huge number which these were made. They weren't even a limited edition and can be picked up very cheap at the moment. FOTR figures currently 99p on Ebay.

Didn't buy mine to stay in a box. But thats not me anyway, more of a hands on now person rather than buy something for the future.
