I was at Amazon to buy fight club DVD and when i searched I got this other version of the DVD which is due to be released in August this year. It is considerably cheaper than the original DVD.

Amazon gives us no info about it. I was wondering if it was a superbit version, although FC is not a movie someone would crave for in superbit as it is more drama than effects.

Will do tricks :clown: for any information about this DVD.

    AMAZON LINK IS:

FC is a Fox movie, Superbit titles are all Columbia Tristar. More likely to be one of Fox's regular price drops - they regularly reduce the rrp for titles that have been around a while. Could even be a reissue without the 2nd disc of extras, as they've done with numerous discs recently. It certainly won't be superbit though.

Fox R1 are re-releasing some of the older titles as 1 disc PAN&SCAN.

The 2 disc set of these titles will not be avaible again.:(
    I think

I would have to disagree about Fight Club not being an effects movie - I think some of the scenes in it look and sound fantastic: gas explosion, aeroplane decompression, ending, title sequence...

I think DrPepper & rambo are right about this just being a pan and scan re-issue version. They question is... Pan and Scan? Fight Club? Are Fox crazy?!!!

16:9 TVs aren't as popular in the US... so I guess the Yanks crave a pan and scan version without the black bars

according to www.dvdfile.com it's a reissue of just disc 1 and the 2 disc SE will be discontinued. The same anamorphic transfer and commentaries are there, just no 2nd disc.

If they still have the 2 disc set, a few of the Fox titles have been replaced with 1 disc re-releases in Australia as well...
