My first entry after having lurked here for some months. I noted that not many people had put in particularly festive entries, so I thought I'd put this in to redress that. Taken with my mother-in-law's Nikon D50 on a recent trip to visit her in Edinburgh. Actually, we're still here, having been stranded by the weather before Christmas!

Edinburgh looks fantastic everywhere at the moment, with all the Christmas lights, but this place stood out. It used to be a bank, but "is now a trendy wine bar" (as the NatWest advert says) called "Dome" on George Street.

Didn't have a tripod, so had to be hand-held. Just took lots of pictures until one came out not too blurred. Just a crop and sharpen in HP Image Zone.

    EXIF:

    Camera - Nikon D50
    Focal Length - 18.0
    Shutter Speed - 1/4s
    F-Stop - 5.0
Date and Time - 19/12/2006 17:23 (actually 16:23 didn't reset clock for daylight saving!)

    Cheers,

    Duggy.

Found myself focusing on the cars and minibuses rather than the nice building. If only they weren't there!
