    hi i am after some ferrite cores for my attempt at a home made power cable but after looking through the cpc catalogue i am lost as to which ones to buy can somebody please help

    What is the final outside diameter of the cable that you'll use? Ideally, the ferrite will clamp (lightly) to the cable. Then choose the correct sized ferrite from CPC or alternative supplier.

    See my thread entry here : http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1516792#post1516792 regarding the oversized ferrite I used. I only used it because it had the correct inner diameter for the design. I think, repeat think, that you get best results from a uniform coverage - no gaps, and definately no crushing of the dieletric material within the cable's outer cover(s.)
