    Hi

Does anyone know the reason for the Ferite cable attachments that come with the Panasonic PW7 Plasma?

Should they be put onto quality interconnects?

What happens if you have flat interconnects as they only fit round cables?

    Thanks

    BJ

The Hitachi 5300 has them too. I would guess they are there to stop the cables picking up stray signals from the plasma panel and feed them back to the amplifier stages. If a manufacturer goes to the expense of an extra component, it's generally because it's needed. In your case, it's either a bigger ferrite ring that's required or thinner cable.
