This should be relevant to most here. I own a projector and the front wall is white, not into drop down screens etc. We are decorating so would like some wallpaper to break up what is a big room. Only option we have is the back wall where projector is and 3 tall units to be a feature wall. However seems the feature wall should be the front wall, tv wall etc. Anyone gone against tradition and had a wall covered in wallpaper not the front wall?

Thanks

I had the back wall opposite my projector as a feature wall in my old house . Had ridged tiles and wall lights, I really liked it.

Couple of pics for you here.

Didnt realise there was a tradition, there are a lot of warehouse conversions in our area and so many have a "original brickwork" type feature wall(s) and they're as likely to be a back or side wall as they are the front.

Just decorate how you like it opposed to what others think it should be.

Saying that I think a “feature” wall is a bit dated now. It would be the first thing to go in my opinion.

I have a hand woven silk carpet on the back wall, suppose that counts as my feature wall. People ask why I have a rug on the wall, I then explain that it cost 7k and they're like WTF :rotfl:
