I was thinking of some classic movies I would like on DVD, one of which was "The Hill" starring Sean Connery and directed by Sidney Lumet, unfortunately it dosn't seem to be available.

Another one is "An Inspector Calls", with Alastair Sim, directed by Guy Hamilton.

Does anyone else have a few favourites that are not available ??

We could start with the obvious...

    The original Star Wars trilogy.

If I see another video release of this I'll scream!

    Cheers

'The People Across the Lake' - A made for TV horror film, it's a bit predictable but quite creapy.

'What a Carve up' - Sid James and Kenneth Connor in a haunted house, what more can I say.

The only two movies I would like to have are Schindler's List and Star Wars.
Both are rumoured to be coming to dvd next year , so I hope that is so and that year will be a real treat for me.

Edison the Man- I am peculiarly attached to it. Of course if it comes anywhere near the telly, I'll own it on -R.

    Song of The South

For curiosity more than anything else as I've never seen it.

Unlikely to get an official release as it's not very 'PC'

The problem being that the quality of those German "Red Editions" releases is dodgy to say the least. I've yet to see one that was any better than vhs quality. The deleted scenes could be interesting though
