    here goes

    Predator - how fantastic is Mac?
    Rocky (the russian one)
    Wierd Science
    Arthur 1 & 2
    weekend at bernies (or early 90's)
    american werewolf in london (or late seventies)
    indiana - the first, not the others
    fatal attraction

    * If anyone ever gets a chance to see the original freaky friday - watch it, especially at the end as there is the funniest stunt double scene ever (we are talking bobby ball lookalike pretending to be a woman water skiing, badly with two men holding up background scenery) unbeatable...

    Most of mine have also been listed but a few that stand out for me, actually during that period, are as follows;

    Rocky IV (queued for ages to watch this, yep that was back when a cinema only had one screen)

    Rambo (didnt really appreciate First Blood back then, amazing what time does, it is now the opposite way round)

    Return of the Jedi (again queued for miles to watch this)

    Robocop (was only 15/16 but tried to get in all the same, never worked but my mate eventually got a copy ;) , you could just make out what was happening)

    Running Man (as Robocop :rolleyes: )

    Terminator, my mum rented this out when we were about 14 and up until then it was the most amazing film we had ever seen.
    Commando, as terminator, my mum was quite good like that :thumbsup:

    Also;
    Ghostbusters
    Breakfast Club
    Temple of Doom
    Gremlins
    Goonies

    Oh my God, I forgot how many good films there were....all the usual ones that have been mentioned above (Lethal Weapon, Big, Ferris Bueller, Terminator, BTTF etc etc) but not sure these were mentioned??

    Money Pit
    Life of Brian (1979 I know but close!)
    Fame
    Porky's (so bad they had to be good!)
    Tootsie
    Educating Rita

    Rain Man
    When Harry met Sally.

    Now I feel old as I realised I started my first job half way through the 80's :eek:

    Hi,

    Thirst - "La Femme Nikita" was directed in 1987 by Luc Besson. It was one of a new wave of French films called "Cinema du Look" (aka Movies that were filmed in certain style, for a certain look, similar to many 1980's classic US TV shows, e.g. "Miami Vice", et al.)

    T2 was definitely a 90s film, but i am pretty sure i went to see indy 3 at the cinema in the summer of 89, that and license to kill, between leaving school and thinking what i was going to do next.
