    ive seen Yngwie Malmsteen doing a set on a g3 tape and i just thought erm nope, excessive twiddling, his twiddling wrecked the satch+vai melodics completely,


    he should be tried and executed for crimes against stratacasters...

    Hmmmmmmmm I'd have to go with Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Edward Van Halen, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Kirk Hammett and the late Stevie Ray Vaughan.

    Yngwie is definitely too twiddly and just seems to play v. fast for speeds sake - but maybe that's just me........

    Jerry Cantrell too - forgot him!

    well, i love Hendrix and i love Vai, im amazed no one's mentioned Slash. the man's a much better player than many people realise. and for sheer awkwardness, Reeves Gabrels of Tin Machine/Bowie. oh, and the fella from It Bites whose name i can't think of...

    I've got the JS100, i played an american deluxe strat on saturday, nice but not got the thrashiong ability of the ibanez. I played the Ibanez S470 too which was smooth but not quite as solid as the satriani hence me buying that one :smashin:
