Any ideas of how to repair my faulty xbox?

It turns itself off whilst playing. Also you cannot turn the machine off with the power button, you have to plug out the power lead!

Ring Microsoft on 0800 587 1102 to get your xbox serviced outside of warranty

Buy a new one beccause by the time you have replaced parts it will cost more anyway. Then strip it down and sell the parts individually as untested + non refundable on eBay!

You can easily pick up a secondhand xbox now for £50 delivered. I got one on the forums for less than this around £45 with two official controllers and that was months ago.

I recently saw a mint boxed one go for around £50 on the classfieds delivered. As the other poster said you can sell off the XBox bits for spares the HD, DVDrom drive and controller should get you are least £20 - £25 if sold seperately on ebay.....
