Faulty Samsung LE32C650, is it a known issue?

Hi guys,

I've done a search and can't seem to find much on this TV faults wise :(
So....it is just over 3yrs old I turned it on today and it was fine on BBC 1, I then changed channel, which it did fine. It was then unresponsive, couldn't change channel again, couldn't alter the volume (either by remote or by the buttons on the TV). The picture then froze and got vertical lines in the corner. After a minute the screen went black then came back to life. It was still unresponsive and then froze, went black and came back to life.
It is now stuck in this infinite loop of being unresponsive, freezing, going black and coming back to life.
I thought at first it was the remote! new batteries made no difference.
I tried a USB drive to see if was recognised - No.
I created a firmware USB stick, not recognised either.
I'm gonna give Samsung a go tomorrow as I bought it from Best buy and want to see if I can get them to agree to a good will repair. It is our bedroom TV so gets perhaps 10 hrs use a week.
