    Hi all,

so i have been re-setting up this server, removing loads of dust and it seems i have buggered it !

i removed the graphics card a few hours ago when it was shut down and powered it on... i then after a while replaced the blanking plate and it now just displays a red light at the front..

tried loads of reseating cables/removing more dust, using one stick of ram , no sticks of ram, no HDD's... leaving cmos out... out of ideas tbh!

TL:DR: is any of this " faulty" server sellable? PSU perhaps? only problem is i don't know what works but the PSU FAN does work..

Does it beep at all - some PC's have "beep codes" that give hints as to what's broke.

May be worth downloading a copy of the hardware manual from HP.

A quick Google and red seems to indicate that there is a motherboard issue.

You could try selling for parts but given you can pick them up fairly cheap you shouldn't expect much for a "broken"one
