Hi Guys

I found this web site fastcamerastore.com was an advert on Facebook - There prices are amazing!

Example:

Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L USM (€279 new) £244
Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM (€439.00)

I contacted them and this is their reply..

This sale is absolutely legit.

These cameras are confiscated ones from a customs border warehouse.
We're selling cameras and accessories for them.
And they prefer fast cash with low prices instead of slow sales with high prices.

We sold a major part of our stock to a German wholesale company and selling the rest
through our online store.

Can not pay using Visa

Conditions of Ordering

Please note that we only accept bank transfer and Western Union at this time.

If you don't like this payment option, please do not proceed with your order.

I think it's a Russian firm..

yeah the contact us page says russia. No money guarantee = no sale for me. Shame cause i was hovering over the buy it button for a D300 :) £560 sounds too cheap and without visa cover its just too risky.

If it seems too good to be true it is.
If they're based in a known scam-rich location steer clear.
If they don't accept CC don't risk it.
If they only accept bank transfer or western union run away.

So a russian company advertising on facebook that has 'customs confiscated' products are selling some at prices that seem too good to be true, don't want CC payments and only want payment methods you can't claw back if it goes pear-shaped? ...mmm, sounds real legit to me - go for it!!

Reply - Collection from Rotterdam..

I know it's hard to believe and that we only accept unsafe payment options,
but I can't change a policy. It's up to my boss.

We mostly deal with wholesale companies, rather than individuals. It's our first attempt
to sell products online.

Alternatively, if you have someone in Rotterdam, Netherlands, they can pick up equipment there,
in our EU warehouse (cash only).
