I recently bought canon powershot S1 IS and have a problem with fast shutter speed. When I switch the mode dial to M(manual) and bring the shutter speed to 1/2000 the image becomes very dark. I tried to switching iso speed to 400 and playing with aperture value but nothing seems to do the trick. Is there a remedy? I’m very surprised that there is no review of this camera on this website.

Thats because you camera cannot set an apperture that can allow enough light for that shutter speed.

If there isnt enough light, there isnt enough light and the only way around it is to either use a flash or use a slower shutter speed
