What an interesting way of representing the ebb and flow of purchases in the AppStore.

I was struck at the novel way of representing the info.

Interesting. Based on the YT clip, it looks like a small number of popular applications are downloaded very frequently while most are just sitting there looking pretty.

Funny how everything is marketed as "live" these days - even if it's not (i.e. a five minute delay).

But "live" and "real time" are subtly different.

It's all true then, words do change their meaning over time . . .

Here's something to ponder: at what point do you draw the line between "real time" and "live"?

Of course it does. We watch "live" television but its broadcast with a 4 sec delay so they can censor etc.

We have had over a decade of having our common understanding of English being redrafted to mean whatever "New Labour" has wanted it to mean. Few PR agencies have ever managed to warp language as effectively as that shower.
