    Hi Gordon,
I picked up a copy of the Hi-Life HCC special from WH Smiths and I found your article on screen calibration to be very interesting.

The only thing I am curious about is calibration for different types of display. Do you have to calibrate a plasma display in a different way from a 100Hz CRT TV, for example, or is it just a standardised setup for all displays?

In reply to your post on my thread about the TAW Rock+ I found plenty of info on the S&W Interpolator, but I searched high and low for the Xantus Terranex and couldn't find a bean!

Would you be willing to tell me a bit more about that particular model? I'm always interested in learning about new types of video processors/scalers.

    Thanks for your time.

I'll see if I can find a link for Xantus. I have some files on how their software works. Email me at convergentav@btinternet.com and I'll try and send them over or a link.

Regarding plasma/direct view etc. The principle is the same but not all devices work the same way in how they store greyscale info as it can take longer to some than others. My new pricing is going to take account of this....

    Cheers,

    Gordon

P.S. Glad someone read the article!

    Nah!
Don't change the avatar to Spider-Man. You strike me more as a Cyclops from X-Men kinda dude. He's a lot cooler.:D
