Hi,
IMPORTANT NOTICE for fans of Homicide: Life On The Streets airing on HALLMARK!
As you may already be aware, the Hallmark Channel here in the UK is showing this fantastic drama at 10pm, every weeknight. However, as you also may have noticed episodes are currently not being aired correctly.
There is a specific reason for this. Season 4 contains some very sensitive episodes that deal with the murder of children / the hunt for missing children / racial tension and unrest / fire bombings etc, etc. As such, because of the current world situation (the hunt for the missing teenager girl Milly Dowell (?) and the possible bombing/war in Iraq, Iran and Pakistan, many of the Homicide Season 4 episodes have been temporarily dropped.
However, DO NOT DESPAIR! Hallmark is well aware of the upset that this is causing and has announced that at the end of October, Homicide will be temporarily removed from the schedules. Towards the end of November 2002, Homicide will resume, with a complete and chronological run-through of all Season 3 episodes, followed by a complete, chronological, uncensored and brand new airing of all of Season 4.
Hallmark apologises for this, but hopes that fans will understand that it is better in the long run, for fans of the show, rather than airing heavily edited versions now.
During the temporary hiatus, Hallmark will be airing double-bills of Law And Order: Special Victims Unit Seasons 1, 2 and 3, every weekday between 9 and 11pm!
Just thought everyone would want to know this.
