Hmm, the 20% doesn´t seem to be deducted when you add an item to the cart?

    Am I missing something?

Or even a scammmer!. If they want people to abide by the rules then they shouldn't make it so easy and tempting to break them!, I mean come on how hard would it be for them to design the deal with smartsave so that only their customers can use it, instead of anyone who follows the link.

The prices are already deducted when you add them to the cart. You weren't expecting another 20% off the prices shown, were you?

the same could be said of all cd-wow's deals. i dont think they have web designers how know how to do really complex stuff, but thats ok because that would set them back 30-40k a year and i'd rather they passed the savings on to us. to be perfectly frank, i believe cd-wow dont have a problem with us "abusing" their offers, because all of a sudden all their links and vouchers seem to be reappearing despite their vows to stop them because of abuse. I think they noticed that while they were stopped, every one of us just snubbed them and went to dvdsoon or wherever instead, and they've decided its better to have several thousand people buying their goods at £2 less than asking, than no people buying their goods at asking.

the prices you see include the 20% discount. you could use it to get something like band of brothers for £15.99 or less if you know where to get a discount voucher.

They must still be achieving respectable profit margins with these codes, as they simply wouldn't exist if not.

I wanted to get Old Boy 2-Disc. When I visit the regular page it´s priced at £11.99. When I visit the 20% link it´s priced at £11.99. It should have been priced at £9.59.

I guess it only works on some titles... or am I totally wrong on this?

Oldboy shows up at £11.99 for me as well, and I know the link is active because all the ones in the sidebar are correctly reduced. Very odd...

If Old Boy 2-Disc usually cost £14.99 then the £11.99 price is correct.

Ah... it is £14.99 usually. I'd just assumed it was £11.99 going by what the previous poster said.

Link seems to have stoped working for me.

Right in the middle of writing a list of some bargains all the prices changed back

Well I usually miss out on these limited offers so i'm glad I got in there :smashin: (just mind, looks as though it ended at 2pm, just got my orders in around 1:30 :D ).

Shame though, there were some great bargains to be had :(. With DVD Soon receiving the wrath of my credit card recently all the R2 titles I wanted had wait. Now a decent promo on R2s comes along and i've hardly any cash left :(

What a surprise! Within a day of the link becoming public knowledge it gets shut down. I have to admit, every time I see someone saying "They don't mind us using it" or "They must be making money anyway" it makes me chuckle.
Affiliate discounts of this type are paid for by...wait for it... affiliates! CDwow lost nothing through the abuse of this offer, Smartsave however are gonna be mighty peed off about it as they are the ones covering the 20%.
CDwow have told this forum before that they do not want affiliate links to be abused (that's why AVforums was given it's own link). However, this was taken away, no doubt due to the continuing mis-use of 'better' deals?
Still, CDwow obviously aren't capable of coding their links to stop fraudulent use so that makes it morally acceptable to abuse them right?
