Hi,
I'm looking at buying an av receiver, and after a lot of web browsing (
) and forum reading I think I know what I'm doing! I've narrowed my choices down to the Cambridge Audio 340R/540Rv2 or the Onkyo TX-SR505. But there's one thing I can't find any info about:
I do a lot of my listening at very low volume levels (tv on in the background at night etc), so I'm a bit concerned about fan noise from the receiver. As far as I can tell the Onkyo unit doesn't have a fan, but the Cambridge Audio units do.
I'd be really, really grateful if any owners of the above units could comment on how much noise they make - especially after they've been on for a long time at low volume (because I can't really test this in a listening room that easily!).
Thanks,
Jony
