The only thing ive noticed is I get a few mm movement in cod before the red dot on a sight starts moving, Ive put it down to the controller as the 360 ones work fine, it was throwing my shot off on cod, going either left or right of my target.

yeah i need to jump in a lobby on my own and see whats happening, but it is only the forward and back movement that seems affected

as im currently testing a 360 slim, the controller does exactly the same, therefore im going with the conclusion it is in fact dead space, not a slightly loose stick or anything else

    Warranty job.

Having said that, 360 controllers were notorious for dead space, it's just wear and tear, although 3 months seems a little excessive to say the least !!!
What games do you play the most ?
I've probably got an easy 200+ hours on my pad and it's still fine. mostly playing Forza and BF4

The right stick on my controller does exactly the same, hasn't affected gameplay but wondering if I should get it sorted.

Got in touch with Amazon about my controller, was hoping they could replace it but got a reply saying they don't swap out individual parts of a product so I could either send the whole thing back for a full refund or they could give me 15% refund (£64.35) so I could buy another controller locally.

Pretty obvious which option I took ;)

Is that 15% or 115%? I don't get the reference to pounds next to the 15% unless that's the price of it after they refund you the 15%?

They are refunding 15% of the cost of the console which cost roughly £430 so I am getting £64.35 back.

They said they can't replace individual bits of the console package so to get a new controller I could either send back the whole console package or take their partial refund and buy a new controller locally.

im wonder if the issue is being caused by the location of the click button and the pressure required along with the stick position etc.... basically if your running in COD then your in the forward position with the pressure being applied backwards, technically creating a very tiny amount of flew/bowing in the process, think this then loosens the stick allowing the analogue stick to remain still but the thumbstick itself to wiggle (dead space)

Discovered my Day One pad has this prob on the right stick.

Using a 2nd I bought as the main now & the dodgey one for 2nd player.

Casing isn't as well put put together on this one though.

    Very shoddy Microsoft.

My 2nd pad was creaky one side, swapped the back grip with the Day One pad and it fixed it.
Plus the ill fitting piece fits fine & creakless on the Day One pad, great.

got my new pad yesterday and it feels so much better than my day one pad. I think my day one pad was broken from the start to b e honest as the palm grips are solid on this one and the lb & rb don't need to be pressed very hard to work, it was a pain in bf4 trying to spot people whilst trying to keep the controller still as I had to press really hard on the day one pad, oh and the a button would stick sometimes, Ive emailed argos to see if I can just replace the pad , otherwise I will have to post back to ms for replacement at my cost. I'am just a bit apprehensive about running in bf4 now .
