Dunno If this is old news but season 3 is now available for pre-order. Play have it for 17.99, so much for the Easter promise in the season 2 DVD

It is out end of June

    I'll wait for the R1.

The R2's are supposed to have quite high video compression (fitting too many episodes onto just 2 discs)

Don't know about volume 2 (R1 called Volumes, not Seasons) but the R1 Volume 1 has 4 discs and 28 episodes.

Any different to no per episode on each disc to R2?

Why are Fox rubbish with DVD's (the older films are great-just the newer stuff)

Oh well looks like no Family Guy purchase at all.... esp. with that EE.

one of the episodes on the season two disc was never aired in the US it was When you wish upon a weinstein

Interstingly enough the season one disc has episodes from season 1 and 2?

Season 1 DVD has 14 episodes
Season 2 DVD has 14 episodes + the bonus episode

this leaves 22 episodes so hopefully the season 3 DVD has all these

The Region 2 Season 1 DVD didn't have any audio commentary, but the Region 1 version did. (unless I'm mistaken)

Is this the same with Season 2 and 3? If so, then I'll definitely wait for Region 1.

i read somewhere that there was commentary on selected episodes in the season 2 DVD. However, I couldn't find them.

Personally I would rather have an extra episode, it was quite a good one too. I was suprised it was pulled, I didn't think it was that offensive myself.

I've heard the "When you Wish...." episode will be included, not in the main menu but as a special feature/extra...

Can anyone confirm any Region's of Family Guy have awful Edge Enhancement (looking at getting R1 V1 soon)

the R2 looks fine to me, edge enhancement? far too technical for me

Aparently the show was cancelled for a number of reasons. The main one was that Seth the creater was very unhappy at the scheduling for season, it was put up against Friends and Survivor. The results were predictable enough so he left the show and it was cancelled. He said he would only return if it was given the 7:30 Sunday slot.

He was meant to be on one of the two tower planes so that probably meant him re-evaluating his life.

Also similar then - my granddad was supposed to be on the Titanic, but he was delayed- so he missed the ship's departure in Portsmouth..

If he turned up in time-well maybe I wouldn't be here!

I don't know if this helps but the episodes on the R2 average around the 6 Mbs mark.

One very! annoying this about the dvd is the rather long intro that can not be skipped.

Hopefully the season 3 DVD will feature some of the commentries
