if its as good as TOR bring it on
Could be interesting. It has a different style of world but I wonder what kind of classes we'd be playing? Soldier & scout type at least - maybe a borderlands style of characters?
I'm hoping its kept closely in line with Fallout 3 to be honest. I love that game, the setting, etc. I'd love for them to make a broader more complex DC and surrounding area, with 'dungeons' for people to enter as a single player, or as a larger clan unit. I think they should limit it to sizes of mebbe 5 though, you rarely saw raider outfits in the original game that were large enough to require more than 2 attackers and the size of those groups felt realistic given the world they were in.
I just want to have my home in Megaton again and go mini-nuking super-mutants and sniping yogi-bears
If they do create one, I hope it's something fresh.
Unfortuantly it'll probably follow the same format of hit points, classes and raids. If it had everyone start from scratch and base progression around perks that could be interesting.
The setting will be all important. If it's based in the California area you can reason why there's loads of people. This gives a chance for factions as well.
It's the setting that is ideal for any sort of RPG, especially an MMO. I can see it working quite well if it's done right. If it follows the format of WOW, and others like it, i'm not sure i'd want to try it.
It should follow the same format as GW2
TBH I think this was just to kill off the other project. I doubt they would use the old code that was being worked on and I also doubt they had any MMO code of their own. Next fallout will be pretty much in the same vein as skyrim.
By the way, when is that likely to be released? 2-3 years?
Next Fallout would be 2013 for sure. TBH if was sitting at the top at Bethesda I would be pushing for a big AAA RPG once a year. Its clear that these games can go head to head with the likes of COD, Battlefield, Unchartered etc
Trouble is, at the rate they push them out now they are quite buggy for a few weeks after release. But I do agree that having releases more often would be a winner for them. On the other hand, will they start all being the same because they would make so many and run out of ideas?
yeah i agree with you really, although it wouldnt surprise me if they did bring an mmo to the market seeing the initial success of the star wars one.
Such a risk. Atleast Star Wars had that following already, the only way they could have "competed" with WoW. Far more likely to see some sort of co-op play.
