I keep getting this error reported by Windows XP, it says that my card Radeon 8500DV (All in Wonder) failed to complete a drawing operation. It keeps crashing my system on a regular basis, getting a bit irritated now:mad: !

I have updated the drivers but stills crashes with horizontal lines. Is this card beyond rescue??

May look at other cards, may give Nvidia a try.

Is it possible to use another manufacturer card but keep using the ATI remote control??

    Any help would be great.

Sounds like a diff card to me.

IMHO nVidias are not as good as Radeons for HCPC applications, particularly DVD playback.

I presume the remote is an ATI Remote Wonder .. in which case then yes, it can be used with any graphics card, it is a completely separate device, in the past I used one with a motherboard with an on-board GF4 MX 400.
