face plates

are there any good face plates out there most look crap. or am i just being picky.

Not many IMO. Personally I don't like to see the coloured ones on as they simply don't blend with the rest of the white case(unless fitted with matching skins which isn't too bad I suppose).

There are a couple I like, mainly the launch team one which I think Batch from these forums has, that ones very nice.

Also depends alot on the position of your console, if you lay it horizontal you have more options than if you stand it vertical as I do, most seem to be designed for the Hori's out there.

The PGR3 one is nice(again, doesn't match the console though) but quite pricey, although I think fakes have started doing the rounds now which look very close & are way cheaper.

Hopefully some nicer ones will start to appear. I like the looks of the Dead Rising one, although I've only seen a mock-up picture.

I have quite a few faceplates now and will be adding the Dead Rising to it soon. I only collect game faceplates such as COD2,Quake4,PGR3,Outfit.

eBay is still your friend on faceplates, I got the Outfit one for just 99p, im after the chromehounds one now.

I have ordered a Fake of the E3 05 faceplate as i have wanted it for ages but would never pay £80 for one

The Fake cost me £10 and should look fairly good on the console. I will post a picture when i have recieved it, which should be this week

The Sun and Pink Balloon faceplates are the nicest, blend in nicely.

I've seen that one, it doesn't look bad atall, well from the pics at least. I wish they also did a fake launch team faceplate, I'd have gone for one for a tenner.
