Corners can be tricky, but as long as the room and fablon are warm, should have no problems. Good luck! :smashin:

    8mm no probs mate! ;)

Just wipe the MDF down with some degreaser (thinners etc) so it will take hold well and away you go!

Sorry Taz - no Black Ash in Exeter's B&Q Warehouse.

B&Q Oxford have a very nice display of fablon with a sheet along the bottom of the racks showing which one should be where, not individual tickets mind, this is a single printed sheet showing their complete range. Black Ash is not on it...

    Looking here :

    http://irvine.forgecom.co.uk/Chulmleigh/results.cfm?startrow=21&ct_ref=3205

I find white ash, green ash, blue ash but not black ash, they do have plain black and black velour whatever that is.

    Taz,
I thought my post also made it clear that B&Q don't seem to do black ash fablon anymore and that Fablon seem to have dropped it fromtheir range.
I found a possible alternative that you could get on the net and you ignored that post too...

As a newbie on this site I don't want to **** anyone off, but it seems odd you're ignoring my input

    Dave

Must admit I was wondering the same thing myself, Dave....

Taz, I was wondering, how do you do the edges with Fablon. I can see you could go round 4 sides - top, side, bottom, side, but what about front and back? Don't you get a nasty seam?

I planned to paint mine, but I'm getting round to the idea.

Problem is I built my first set of speakers out of old dismantled radios acquired from jumble sales, put into a chipboard box, covered in vinyl, and the front baffle (exposed) was 1/4 inch plywood covered in, you guessed it, fablon. That was probably around 1976.

    Fablon brings up painful memories...

    Dave

PS: Let us know what it looks like, because I might well want some myself.
