Hyde chairman Steve Hartley said: "We couldn't ask for more than a home game and against a big club. It's absolutely perfect for us.
"These guys deserve it. It's the best team this club has had in a long, long time."
I think the magic is still there in these early rounds but the tournament doesn't have the same anticipation and excitement like it did when we were young.
Coincidentally, Aldershot have drawn Shrewsbury Town away which evokes happy and sad memories for me.
I was at the Shots v Shrewsbury quarter-final at the Rec as an 11-year old and reckon most of the East Bank was on the pitch at the final whistle. I remember a copper barking at me to get off the field as the police tried in vain to keep some kind of order. You'd have thought we'd have won the cup there and then but were denied victory where we would have played Wolves (see video above).
I don't think there's much magic about a final with a 5pm kick-off and it doesn't feel the same as it used to be but still, it's a great competition, no? The third round draw really is still one of the most anticipated events on the football calendar.
