Channel 4 Highlights
Saturday Qualifying 6:30pm-8:00pm
Sunday Race 7:00pm-9:00pm
I went to the race last year. Fantastic city marseille is with great landscaped and cliffs to hike and explore outside the city.
Going to the track itself was a nightmare. I remember it took us 3h to get to the track on a Thursday for pit lane walk.
On Friday and sat it took us 4/5hours... We ended up missing all the gp2 qualifiers and races
Apparently they've vastly improved that side of it for this year.
Ferrari request review of Sebastian Vettel's Canadian GP penalty
Can't help but think they should have just moved on and concentrate more on making their car & driver more capable.
Seems a strange view, if they genuinely have more evidence to fight their case then they should be able to present it. If nothing else, clarification on the regulations is good for the sport.
You sure a few sherbets weren't involved?
Am I correct that Red Bull are bringing a major update for car and the Honda engine on this track ? Sure I read it some place , along with they not to happy with Gasley performance ?
They are bringing an update but don't reckon on it matching the Ferrari or Merc levels yet. Not sure on their driver.
Still , I have been very impressed with Max this season punching well above his weight in the Red Bull and splitting the big red at times . A bit more oomph and better handling can't but help his cause.
Also see that Marko is insinuating that the tyre change this season was only to help out Merc. Never said a word when Seb won four in a row in the Bull.
RB have, at the very least, taken a hammer and or reciprocating saw to their wing mirrors
Seb's head is still stuck in Canada i feel , carrying that baggage ant not shook it off as yet . Very un Seb like qualifying.
Like I said before, I believe Vettel (and Ferrari) should have moved on from Canada and concentrated on the job at hand. Apparently they even presented Karun Chandok's video analysis as part of their 'new' evidence. Talk about desperate.
Maybe their race pace will be better, or at least let's hope the two Mercedes can follow closely so we get some kind of fight at the front.
Well Le Clerc showed some pace and looks promising when the shackles are let off. Lewis had a natter with him after qualifying, hoping for a proper race , although that may be overtake my team mate please .
In pre season testing we ( most ) thought Ferrari had finnaly built a car to compete with the Merc . So far this season Merc are more dominant than in the 2014 walk in the park season . What's more is Lewis again once challenged by ( great work ) VB is stepping his game up .
Gotta hold your hands up, Lewis is a bit of a beast. We've seen very quick drivers before but the mixture of being super quick and having the composure as well under pressure to deliver week in week out is a rare thing. In comparison Vettel even in his RB years would go through dips.
Love this time of the season , roast in the oven , a couple of beers and a glass or two of red and GP on the TV . To sit back n watch.
Worst race of the seasom for me but get in there Lewis once again . What the fudge went on with VBs race pace ,and indeed Seb, throwing in the towel early but Lewis is unstoppable at the moment and he usually gets better second part of the season .
Worst track of the season IMO
Not exactly a barnstormer apart from Mercedes pace and Hamilton putting proper manners on Bottas. Shame the VSC came out too late - would have liked the Bottas v Leclerc to last longer.
Yeah, needs more run off
When you look back , Alonso joined and left teams at all the wrong times since the Renult days , or he was a Jonah....
Good thing about this weekend's race, we only have a week to wait for the next one.
Gasley on borrowed time I reckon, especially being in that RB team that at this time are racing Ferrari for points.
Gasly is terrible. I’d get rid and try and get Norris.
Just looking at the grid. Kevin Magnussen in a Red Bull would be fireworks.
Kvyat will be back
Would not RB just swap out Gasley with Albon being mid season?
It's not like they haven't done similar before.
I must have snoozed, why did DC walk off the set at the end?
F1 Austrian GP 28th - 30th June '19
That would be good to test him out. I'm not sure Kvyat will make it back to the RB team.
