Question EXTREMLY LONG Speaker Wires?

I am installing 16 speakers in a barn. The longest wire is 600ft but most of them are around 100-300ft long. The speakers are all 8 ohms. Half of them will be 3.5inches and the rest will be 4.5inches. I will be running 16 individual 14gauge speaker wires into the office. I am going to order a 8 channel switch/splitter(8-Channel Speaker Selector - Monoprice.com) to protect the amp. A couple of the speakers will have in wall volume controls. So now that I have explained it all I would like to know if it will all work and if you guys have any advice.

What is the application?

You are likely better of with a 100v line system.

Agree with 100V line, it is the standard method for long cables.
