Extra Channels on Freesat

Can "Phoenix TV" (PCNE) be viewed as an extra Channel on Freesat ? Will it show on the Freesat EPG ? Can it be recorded on a Freesat PVR ? Can recording be automated ?

Also, I'd heard that Freesat boxes don't have RF analog output (unlike Sky boxes), but just seen a Humax Foxsat HDR box which says it has "RF 2 Input, 1 Output". Am I misunderstanding/confusing different issues ?

In memoriam
Phoenix TV is free to air so can be added to a Foxsat-hdr in non-freesat mode.

Eutelsat 28A
11623.00 H DVB-S QPSK 27500 2/3

Using the custom firmware channel editor you could then view this channel in Freesat mode and set manual timer recordings for it.

RF - radio frequency also covers the signals that you get from a lnb (these are higher in frequency than used for UHF TV).

The Foxsat has 3 lnb connections (RF) Lnb1 in, lnb2 in, lnb 1 out. The latter allows tuner 2 to be connected when only a single cable to the dish is available using a short length of coax cable.

There is no internal modulator as you get on a Sky box, you can fit an external one to provide it's output as an analogue TV signal like a Sky box. Without extra kit you can't use the Sky box Magic Eye remote control system.

Humax do refer to their LNB input sockets as RF, which is strictly correct, but rather misleading for anyone who is used to Sky's use of the term.
