First post - just bought the above tv having upgraded from a Panasonic - I ran my Panasonic through an antiquated hifi system using the 3.5mm headphone Jack into the red and white RCA - had the option to switch between tv speakers and headphone out on the settings menu - great , speakers always connected and I could switch between the 2 via the tv
However , my new Phillips does not appear to have such a function - whenever I plug the hifi in using the 3.5mm headphone Jack it turns the tv speakers off (understandably) but no option at all to switch between the tv speakers via the settings menu - my only option is to remove the 3.5mm Jack physically - bit of a faff each time
Am I missing something in the settings or am I destined for a life of getting up and down from the sofa every time I want to ‘pump up the volume ‘ so to speak ??
