    All,

I am in the market for a new TV and have been looking at the Toshiba 50WT29B, but before i can purchase this tv or any other rear projection TV i need to move my amp from underneath my current TV to the side.

Now to my problem, I am currently using Cable Talk biwire cable at £5 per meter and have approx 60ft of the stuff running from my rear speakers to my AMP and the cable will not reach my AMP if I move it. Is it possible to attach more cable to the existing cable or will this cause me problems?

I would love to know if anyone has any other ideas as pulling the carpet up and buying a new run of cable is not an option.

    Thanks,

    Dave....

Don't see a problem here, I have just renewed my cables for my fronts as they were joined in various places because I too purchased a RP and had to move my equipment.

My joins were just twisted together and insulating tape wound round, a bit of a slack job but new it was only temporary. If you are wanting it to be a permanent job then you could always solder the joins or find some good quality joining blocks.

I didn't find that the joins affected the sound quality in anyway either.

These are the ones I had in mind, though you may be able to find something similar but better quality.

    Hi Marshy.Dave
My brother had this problem with his speaker cables.
He used the crimp on type of connectors where you push the wire in to the hole then crimp it on to the wire you have male and female connectors for joining both runs together.
Just make sure that they are well taped up so you dont get any shorts.
    cheers Gonzo.:)

    Hi Marshy.Dave
As far as i know he got them from a car spares like motormania .cars use these electrical connections on alot of there wirings .I think you can get all differant gauges too .
Failing that try an electrical wholesalers as these would definitely be able to get hold of them.
    Gonzo.
