Extending speaker cable

I have just bought the samsung HT-T212 home cinema and want to attach the rear speakers to the wall. Problem is that the speaker cables aren't long enough for where i want them to be. Have looked on the net for longer wires but cant find any. Are there any or can i just connect some speaker wire to the original wires to extend them. Would this effect the sound quality?

Not enough information.

Are these standard wires with nothing on the ends? Is there a pin/plug of some type? Is there some type of connector, like an RCA connector on the wires?

Do the wires attach to the speakers or are they built-in/non-removable?

We can't make a judgment on something we can't see, so either show us a picture or give us a description of why you simply can't extent the wires?
