due to a proposed new tv being so large, i need to alter my room around. this leaves the sky cable to my digibox lacking by about 2 metres.

anyone know how best to do it (i'm an aircraft electrician so i should be able to do it myself) i.e in-line splice or complete new run?

and which cable (ct100????) from where and how much is it?

a lot of questions i know!!!

    thanks for any replies

I think B@Q sell screened digi cable and 'F' connectors for extending sky digi cable.

If I'm wrong then someone will undoubtably tell us.

Ah, an easy one. This is answered comprehensively at this page. Basically, you can try two "F" connectors and a threaded barrel. If the results are not good, you'll need to replace the entire cable run with satellite cable. Worth risking a few pennies I think. If you make the connections carefully to avoid short-circuits (unplug the Digibox from the wall socket!) then there's no risk.
