I'll be changing my AV setup next week with some new items (plasma , DVD , amp , etc).

Due to that , I'll have to move my Sky+ box about 3 meters away from where it is now. That means the 2 antenna cables won't reach...

What can I do? Is there any simple connector I can use to extend the cable with another 3 metre one? Do I need to call Sky and ask for an engineer to re-cable from the dish?

    Thanks,

    Lapman.

You can make up an extension using CT100 sat cable and a couple of F connectors, a good DIY superstore should stock them. A local sat installer/dealer could probably make them up for you fairly cheaply.
Difference of opinion on extending an existing cable compared to having an unbroken length from the LNB to the STB, for a few quid I suppose it's worth a go before payign someone a hell of a lot more to lay two new cables. Of course if you are confident of your own ability you can lay the cables yourself:)
