extended warranties on lcd?

Hi,
I'm new to this so bear with me. I'm thinking about puchasing a Sharp 32" lc32p50e, is it worth taking out a 3 year extended warranty? Normally I would never do this but what with the high cost and fact of having to take the tv to a repairer having found one first you can trust. Please give me the benefit of your experience.

Why not buy from John Lewis? They price match any shop with stock (and by shop, I mean they must have a physical shop). Plus you get a 5 year warranty.
