Extend Bluetooth Range

Hi all i have my PS4 on the right hand side of the second floor in a media cupboard and the side of my house directly below this gets fine bluetooth signal with my pad and works perfect, but when i move to the left side where my living room is, i get lag and even loss of bluetooth range. Is there any way of extending or boosting this?
