Question Experience of Spendor D7s?

Hi,
Does anyone have any experience/opinions of Spendor D7 speakers? Most reviews I have read seem to be very positive with the occasional complaint of harshness in the upper mid range. I would be putting them in a room 5m x 3.5m and predominantly listening to heavy music.. metal, heavy electronic.

How would they compare to something like the Kef R500 (albeit I'm aware a much cheaper speaker)

I've not experienced the D7's but did get to listen to the classic at the Bristol Hi-fi Show. Boy did they sound good. To be honest though at the price of the D7's brand new your right at the price point for the new Kef R11's and they are stunning in looks and sound.
