Experience Index error message

Just installed Vista Business and can't get an Experience Index Rating - when I click on the 'Rate' button I get the message, 'Cannot complete the requested assessment. The system does not have the necessary multi-media support to run the requested assessment.'

Given that my spec is: E6600, 4GB RAM, G8600 640Mb (163.44), X-Fi audio, 2 x DVD-RW drives and a couple of SATAII HDDs, I can't imagine what I'm supposed to be missing.

The 'Reliability and Performance Monitor' report says that every aspect of the PC is 'poor'.

I only installed Vista to run games (it's the 3rd OS on this PC - XP, XP64 and Vista) and Bioshock and all the Aero effects, etc. run perfectly, so I've no idea how it's making these assessments :confused:

Did you by any chance stop or disable any services within services.msc? You might need to restart some services associated with WIE and Performance indicators.
