Expanding storage on my Amazon Fire TV stick

Hi, just wanting to know, am I able to add extra storage (USB storage) to my firestick?
This is the version firestick that I have;
W87CUN

If not, which version firestick do I need and what else will I need?

I don't know, try it. Or, use google for a solution.

Ok, 4K stick is due on Wednesday, also ordered the cable,
Anyone know if files can be accessible when removing the usb drive from the stick and plugging it directly into a tv or laptop?

I am not sure if you can access it via a laptop, but by following the guide I linked too, you can set a proportion of the usb stick to internal storage, & part to external storage. And copy files over the network.

I always use these videos as they are idiot proof for me. Also if you use ES File Explorer you can FTP onto the Firestick and copy files. Also do not buy the Amazon ethernet adaptor. I used these items,
