Have the 3802 and have been paying around with speaker setup.

I feel the rears, Monitor Audio Babies, are lost. I have them positioned about 3-4 ft above my head, 3 ft behind and 2-3 ft apart and facing sligly downward. I can hear the left and right rears but not the rear rears.

My thought were that because the were mono directional my ears could not pick the sounds up as well so I was thinking about buying some Eltax HT2 Bipolars. My thinking was that they would defise the sound better.

Does anyone have experience with these speakers.

    Am I missing something?

What are you EX guys using for rears?

The sound from back surrounds is far more subtle than from the sides. Its far more difficult to pinpoint sounds coming from directly behind you than it is from left or right.

I use 4 dipoles, which gives a very full rear sound. Choice of which speakers to use is a purely personal one. You would undoubtedly get the most direct sound from using monopoles, if thats what you are after.

    Regards Rob.
