Exactly what it says on the tin. Basically, cuts, quality and extras info is what I'm after. Also, is there another (region maybe) trilogy alternative?

And what's the story with "Within the Woods"? Worth missing?

As far as I'm aware Within The Woods simply isn't available on Evil Dead DVDs due to licensing issues which Sam Raimi didn't manage to sort out...

This applies for the R2 edition at least. Regardless, I wouldn't be hellbent on buying it.

However Bruce Campbell does play the 'Monster' in it, which would be quite interesting. And Ellen Sandwise? (from Evil Dead) is also in it.

I wouldn't bother buying the Evil Dead Trilogy if I were you Delorian.

The image is very poor quality on all regions of Army of Darkness apart from Reg 3's MGM release, because the Reg 3 is the only one that used a proper film source to create the transfer, whereas the other regions used video.

    Screen comparisons here:

Yes the R3 dvd is superb - so much better than AB's releases The picture is great and the DD5.1 soundtrack is superb. Cdwow were doing the R3 for around £8/9 - well worth it.

Now that is very fustrating. Anchor Bay normally do pretty good jos of special releases, but I think I may have to get the R3 release too.

May I also say that that site is very insightful. Never thought there was so much difference between regional releases! Guess I bought the wrong copy of Terminator, too.
