Bought said film today, put it on at normal volume, loud but nothing abnormaly loud, only to find that this sound track has to be the bassiest room shaker I've heard on a DVD. It was overkill. Thing is I'm having trouble turning it down. I've got a Rel StrataII sub which I switched off, no difference. I switched the LFE channel on my Yamaha to mute and no difference. Whats going on? It seems the bass is eminating from the fronts. I switched the LFE channel to sub only but nothing. Is there any thing else I can do apart from turning the bass nob down and loosing all bass frequencies alltogether?

Know exactly what you mean about the bass on this soundtrack. At normal levels it renders the film unwatchable. All I could do was turn the sub right down and lower the high-cut. This made it ok. Shame there's no extras on the disc though.
