So there we have it. The cards are now on the table for all to see. It's a USE (United States of Europe) under German domination. My god, the sooner Britain gets out of this the better.

Yep and this is what's known as a "beneficial crisis". Another chance to tighten up the EU ratchet.

Germany only needs to look at itself to see how it'll never work. It's now 23 years since German re-unification and still the east is nowhere near parity with the west. GDP per capita, earnings per head are all much lower in the east. Unemployment is higher there too and many former residents have left to seek jobs in the west. That's despite massive ongoing investment & subsidy.

Quite right. It's always been the intention to form a USE and this is another step toward that goal.

I didn't realise that the TOR included the eventual creation of USE. Has anyone told the French? - dont think that they would go along with it. Can see them having at least 3 referendums before they got the 'right' result.

Strong socialists want to fund their habit. Its unlikely they would ever want to leave and certain that they would want us to. The huge farm subsidies are one of the key reasons for them to remain in. They can tax their citizens and give the money to the farmers. That makes a weird economic sense to them as they subsidise their agriculture, just as we once subsidised our industry.

While the Treaty of Rome was the goal, that was on the proviso that every country contributes and pulls their way.

That is not happening and Germany is having to fund the project (to keep its industry moving). Sure, the Germans have had enough! And Merkel's response is to read us the riot act and remind us that central government is all part of the deal!

I think you will find the Britain, US and Russia won the peace, along with many other counties Canada, Poland, Australia, India etc.

It's so verbose that it probably doesn't actually say so, but all of its inventors were quite clear about the intention.
The people of all the countries have been told, but what they think and say doesn't matter.

they won the war .The USA did very well out of the peace but
both Germany and Japan did remarkably so given they were so vanquished
