Just seen the results from the Euro 2016 draw. Would not fancy being a Scot or Republic fan, their group looks tough. Would expect Germany top walk it and Poland are no slouches.

On the flip side, this may be the best chance my boys (Wales) have had in a while. Belgium must be favorites from the group with Bosnia-Herzegovina next but neither are fantastic with the former not playing top the potential their superstars lend.

Northern Ireland's group pretty good too.

England fans must be very happy with their draw. Easy group.

    The full draw:

Group A: Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Iceland, Latvia, Turkey, Czech Republic

Group B: Bosnia-Herzegovina, Cyprus, Andorra, Wales, Israel, Belgium

Group C: Spain, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Belarus, Slovakia, Ukraine

Group D: Germany, Gibraltar, Georgia, Scotland, Poland, Republic of Ireland

Group E: England, San Marino, Lithuania, Estonia, Slovenia, Switzerland

Group F: Greece, Faroe Islands, Northern Ireland, Finland, Romania, Hungary

Group G: Russia, Lichtenstein, Moldova, Montenegro, Austria, Sweden

Group H: Italy, Malta, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Norway, Croatia

Group I: Portugal, Albania, Armenia, Serbia, Denmark, (France)

France I believe, as the hosts, are in group I, with theirs games counting as non point scoring friendlies. How anyone came to this decision is beyond me. Surely just leave them out of qualifying and drop them in a group for the tournament proper?

Good luck filling Wembley with that draw.

Yet more evidence that International Football is a massive waste of everyone's time, effort and cash.

would anyone really care if it was done away with altogether?

I would care. I love watching my country play in qualifiers.
As an ROI fan this won't be an easy group though as I can see all of Poland, Ireland and Scotland all taking points off each other.

No excuse if England do not top their group

Scotland top, Germany second closely followed by ROI.

Will be a shame to see ROI miss out but those Gernams have an ok team sometimes I hear.

With Sepp at the head? fudgeing nonsense isn't it, one rule for France and one rule for everyone else to equalise them to France's standards.

If anything it's a disadvantage to France. Instead of playing friendlies against top class sides they'll have 6 games against Serbia, Armenia and Albania. Or am I missing something?

At least it will give England something to look forward to when they come home just after the group stages of the World Cup.

What's to say France don't go into the games against Portugal with the intent of injuring their key players and then go into other games and throw them, with a view to Portugal not getting through?
Tin foil hat stuff but surely the remotest possibility of this happening should be excluded?

Furthermore, they can play youngsters/challengers in their squads with no fear of not qualifying.

There aren't any points at stake in the France games?
